There really is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, three yet one. We are a three part being - spirit, soul and body. (I Thess 5:13). The soul is the mind, will and emotions, while the spirit is that eternal part of us. The bible is the inerrant word of God, written to us, without "mistakes". It does write about people that made mistakes. These mistakes are called sin. Jesus , the Son and Christ, was crucified, died, buried and rose again. When He did, this one Man paid the price for all the sin of all mankind. We only have to receive Him as Savior and Lord to have our sin paid by Him. Sin came into the world because of the sin of one man, Adam. Through sin came death. Death is the separation of any part of us from God, who is life. A person can be alive in body, yet "dead" in the soul or spirit. >Death tries to approach us through disease, illness and sin. Sickness, disease and death are not from God, but the enemy. Jesus came so we can have 'Zoë', or full and abundant life. John 10:10 God wants our whole being to grow and succeed,
especially our soul. 3 John 2 |
How do we view Medical Care? Medicines and therapies, whether allopathic, homeopathic or naturopathic were designed as a gift from God. They work according to the "laws of biochemistry and pharmacology" created by God. They are a help for anyone, including believers that are expectantly waiting for the healing promised them in Isaiah 53:4 and I Peter 2:24. God often uses them as the tool whereby He brings healing. They are not the cure, He is. For this we can be thankful, using them confidently, without ever worshiping the substance or the person that prescribes it, and never letting go of the greater promises.
